Sen. Jim Bunning: N.Y. Times Committed Treason: "Bunning said Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should empanel a grand jury to decide if the Times publisher, editors and writers who were involved in the story should be indicted for treason, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports.
'In my opinion, that is giving aid and comfort to the enemy; therefore it is an act of treason, Bunning said. 'What you write in a war and what is legal to do for the federal government, or state government, whoever it is, is very important in winning the war on terror."
I'm sorry. I just don't get it. Number one, someone leaked this information. Who was it? Number two, the idiots at the NYT know better. It's almost like they want to destroy this country and inhibit our ability to defend ourselves.
Is it their deep rooted hatred of George Bush that makes them do this irresponsible stuff? Do liberals hate GWB so badly that they will sell our entire country down the river to make him look bad.
Look at the telephone eaves dropping issue. To this day they still post it as Big Brother listening in on domestic phone calls. (period) They never post it as listening in on domestic calls that on one end or the other is a known terrorist leader or contact therof. Why not? Why not ask the real questions and get real answers? maybe they don't want the truth.
The New York Times should be closed down if they are going to act with sedition and treason for this country. Enough is enough! The chief there should be charged with treason and put in prison. Maybe then the message would be out. If you aid our enemy we will stop you.
Why don't we place what these guys have done up beside the rule of law and see if they have not indeed committed treason or at the very least sedition? If you read the New York Times and support them after this you are just as guilty as they are. If you are not a friend of this country you ARE an enemy. Get off the fence and pick a side.
I'd like my friends, liberals and conservatives to weigh in on this. Am I way off or is the NYT going off the edge?

United Nations Army Proposed
United Nations Army Proposed: "Crisis management experts are calling for the creation of a 'United Nations army an international rapid reaction force that could be deployed within 48 hours to intervene in emergency situations around the globe."
How many times and how hard do we have to say NO! NO UN Army! The Constitution of The United States expressly prohibits US forces from acting under command of a foreign force. We have dealt with it during world wars and joint exercises but The UN has no business with an army.
In a time when The US should be considering a unilateral pull out of The United Nations all together, now they want to make thier own Army. Hmph! The modern industrialized world does not need to be policed by unqualified thieves like Kofi Annan. The first thing they would want to do is come here and "help" The US out with capitol punishment, gun control and probably our borders... No Thanks! Keep your hands off our military.

Sex Offenders
FOXNews.com - Accused Serial Molester Arrested Nine Times - U.S. & World: "Over the years, Schwartzmiller was convicted of molestation charges at least four times, but was acquitted once and avoided prosecution on other charges. When he first came to authorities' attention, there were no Megan's Laws or three-strikes laws, and Americans were less aware of the ramifications and the severity of child sexual abuse."
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,157317,00.html
Audits by Comptroller Alan Hevesi's office showed that between January 2000 and March 2005, 198 sex offenders in New York received Medicaid-reimbursed Viagra (search) after their convictions. Those included crimes against children as young as 2 years old, he said.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,158314,00.html
Chaney told a local television station that he may have cared for as many as 50 foster children since late 2001 and even adopted a child while living in New York state. The county has said Chaney cared for 23 children.
Chaney was convicted in 1989 of two counts of third-degree rape, authorities said. He told WWNY-TV in Watertown he had been convicted of having sex with a 16-year-old girl.
If you can read this trash and not become livid you have a mental disorder. What is going on when sex offenders are given little to no sentence and just keep slipping through the system unscathed? How can we let this happen? We have judges who give light to non-existent sentences and then we have cases where people are passed through the system after a fifth, seventh or fiftenth offense. I am speechless. What next?

USATODAY.com - Iranian commander threatens Israel if U.S. attacks
USATODAY.com - Iranian commander threatens Israel if U.S. attacks
This whole Iran and Israel bit is smoke and mirrors and no one is willing to point it out. There are two countries that Iran hates nearly as much as they hate Israel. Those countries are Iraq and The U.S. Currently the U.S. has nearly 100k troops in Bagdad. I’ll wager you that within one week of Iran having the capability they will nuke the hell out of Bagdad, taking revenge for Iraq kicking their ass in the last few wars and taking out 100k of our finest troops. If they have the capability they will hit Israel at the same time but Bagdad will be their first target.
It will be the world’s largest suicide bombing because we all know what would happen to them if they did that. Israel is very nuclear capable and nothing needs to be said about our abilities here in The U.S.
I hope I am wrong but my instincts tell me I’m right.

I've Fallen and I don't Want to Get Up!
When a friend has fallen and can’t get up you have two basic choices with several variations each.
You can either leave them on the floor or help them up. All you benevolent little eager beavers say in a chorus, “help them up! Help them up!” I say that there is a lot to consider here. First of all there is generally a reason that they fell. Balance, intoxication or an obstacle like a wall that leapt out in front of them or something? If you are not going to be around long enough to make sure they don’t fall again you definitely should NOT help them up. They could break a hip or something on the next fall. There is a lot of responsibility in helping someone back up so be careful.
The other option is to leave them on the floor. Sounds callous but maybe not. You could just walk away and pretend you don’t know them; But. Remember I said this is a friend. Maybe you could sit down there beside them till they feel better or something like that. Tell them jokes or entertain them until they can get up on their own. If you tell really bad jokes or pass gas they will want to get up quicker. Whatever the case inspiration is better than a helping hand. Once they have decided that they can get up on their own there’s nothing wrong with a hand to steady them.
Society has fallen and doesn’t want to get up. Careful how you help them.

USATODAY.com - 1,200 caught in immigration raids at IFCO Systems plants
USATODAY.com - 1,200 caught in immigration raids at IFCO Systems plants: "Hundreds of thousands of immigrants and their supporters marched in U.S. cities April 10 to protest proposed legislation that would turn millions of illegal immigrants into criminals and would fence off sections of the U.S. border with Mexico."
Okay, take the words highlighted in purple above and replace them with:
Murders
Thieves
Rapists
Tax evaders
trespassers
Child Molesters
Drunk Drivers
How can someone who is by classification a criminal be turned into a criminal by the enforcement of law's that existed before they began their illegal actions?
It is interesting that these people are called immigrants in the opening line. They are not immigrants. Immigrants are people who want to be a part of a culture. Show up at the consulate, apply for visas and go thru the same channels that were used for the millions of immigrants (Real Immigrants) who made this country what it is today... Good, bad or indifferent this country is a nation of immigrants... Legal Immigrants.
I'm not saying they should leave. I'm not saying they can't work here. I'm saying that if they are going to join the system they need to join the system. They need to pay taxes, social security and all the things that they intend on becoming benefactors of in the future. Social services need to be fully funded by them as well as by us.
Illegal is illegal. What part of that don't they ("they" meaning the press, not the tresspassers)understand?

Consider the Ant
Unbound Bible:
I have decided that when I open my mouth sometimes i misspeak. So... here are some words to live by that I didn't write:
Proverbs Chapter 6
6. "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7. Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8. Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest."

Satan and the Old Man
Satan and the Old Man
Just minutes before the church services started the towns people were sitting in their pews and talking. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church.
Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate.
Soon everyone had exited the church except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence.
So Satan walked up to the old man and said,
"Don't you know who I am?
The man replied, "Yep, sure do."
"Aren't you afraid of me?" Satan asked.
"Nope, sure ain't" said the man.
"Don't you realize I can kill you with a word?" asked Satan.
"Don't doubt it for a minute," returned the old man, in an even tone.
"Did you know that I could cause you profound, horrifying, physical agony forever?"
"Yep," was the calm reply.
"And you're still not afraid?" asked Satan.
"Nope."
More than a little perturbed, Satan asked, "Well, why aren't you afraid of me?"
The man calmly replied, "Been married to your sister for 45 years."

Hillary Clinton: I'm No Marie Antoinette
Hillary Clinton: I'm No Marie Antoinette: "Hillary Clinton: I'm No Marie Antoinette"
This is the same woman who proclaimed that she was no "Loretta Lynn, stand by your man," kind of woman. And then, of course she did just that. Stood by her man.
Then she says Marie Antionette was accused of many things she didnt do... Blah, blah, blah. In the end she lost her head.
Well? I wonder if we could be so lucky as to get a repeat. She said she was no "Loretta Lynn, stand by your man," kinda woman but she was and now no Marie Antionette who lost her head...
Maybe just maybe, she is.

S.C. Police Search for Dungeon Rape Suspect
Go ahead and tell the truth. S.C. police are searching for a predator who had been caught, convicted and incarcerated until some liberal crackpots parolled him.
FOXNews.com - U.S. & World News - S.C. Police Search for Dungeon Rape Suspect: "The two 17-year-olds were abducted and assaulted in a room under a shed on Hinson's property, Darlington County Chief Deputy Tom Gainey said. The girls were left bound but managed to free themselves. Gainey said they opened the trap door in the floor and kick down the shed's door.
Hinson, who was convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl in 1991, is wanted on kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct charges. There have been no confirmed sightings of him and no confirmed contact with any of his family in the area, Gainey said Friday."
Here we go again. What are we thinking in our Criminal Justice system? Sexual predators DO NOT reform. They never stop what they are doing and they cannot be fixed. The sexual urge is at the very seat of the human psyche.
I think it is time that the judges and parole boards who fail to sentence and release these extreme criminals should be held criminally liable. Lately in the news we have had two jusges who just refused to make the comensurate sentence for dangerous sex offenders.
If a person in my family was victim to one of these predators those judges would have short lives. Is that extreme? I wonder how much time I would get for that? I wonder if another judge would stick it to me for that. Interesting. Maybe somehow I could whack the judge but still get his weak mindedness to do the sentencing.
Please! Please do no go out and shoot judges and say that I encouraged you to do it. Most of them are respectable and of high integrity. Maybe they can police their corps from within before somone else decides to do it their own way.

The Inmates are Running the Asylum
The biggest issue I see with the Oscars and with the last few years of movies and entertainment in general is the huge gap in culture that exists in the Hollywood crowd and the average citizen. In order to be entertained by some medium whether it be music or a movie or a simple work of art there has to be some cultural connection, some identification with some thing or some emotion that the person can relate to.
It’s like going to a foreign film where a really clever dubbing job has been done. The culture, personalities and belief systems of the characters are so foreign that the average viewer can not and doesn’t want to identify with them. There has always been a small group, who love foreign films, I happen to be one of those people. But… The main stream just doesn’t get it and it isn’t willing to go to the trouble of paying attention enough to get it when they can’t speak the language of the film. They may have been speaking English in Broke Back Mountain, Syriana and Crash but it was from a perspective that most people just don’t get.
Look at these movies. Crash was actually a pretty good movie. If you dropped 150 of the 182 expletives I would have agreed with the award in part. Syriana was full of gratuitous violence and the cast didn’t need it to support the plot line. George Clooney can carry off any part; he doesn’t need all the gore to make a hit. Broke Back Mountain was a movie that portrays and was marketed to about 10 to 12 percent of the population. The problem with the movie was not that the leads were gay. The problem with the movie is that it was about the fact that they were gay. There have been many wonderful movies with gay characters and gay leads that were in a movie about something happening. Philadelphia comes to mind as a striking example of a movie where the leading man and his lover were gay but there was a human drama going on around them that was the theme of the movie. People could identify with that.
The image I keep getting of Hollywood is a group of people standing around drooling and pissing on themselves while more drooling pissing idiots come and pat them on the back for drooling and pissing. Then our dutiful media just keeps patting those congratulatory idiots and pondering why the rest of us just don’t care.
The inmates are truly running the asylum.

FOXNews.com - We THE People Awards
FOXNews.com - FOX Fan - Father Jonathan - An Open Letter to Hollywood: "That's why I'm announcing today the first annual We the People awards. There's only one criterion: whether audiences actually wanted to go see the movies. Revolutionary! Drum roll, please the We the People (WTP) award winners for this year are:
1 Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith: $380 million gross (1st place for the year), 1 nomination
2 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: $288 million (2nd place for the year), 1 nomination
3 The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: $288 million (3rd place for the year), 3 nominations
4 War of the Worlds: $234 million (4th place for the year), 3 nominations
Oh, look, I think I see a pattern. None of these movies glorifies homosexuality ('Brokeback,' 'Capote'), squeezes in 182 expletives ('Crash'), bashes McCarthyism ('Good Night') and America in general ('Syriana' 2 nominations) or features subject matter unmentionable in this column ('Geisha,' 'Transamerica' 2 nominations). In a word, none of them is propaganda. Maybe that's why we wanted to go see them.
So it's agreed, thenyou have your awards ceremony and we'll have ours."
Father Jonathan nails it again. All the awards did this year was reward trash for making trash that they couldnt get the people to go and see with all the hype and hooplah that Hollywood has to offer. Go and read the rest of this article... Very well said.

New Orleans T-Shirts

It sure is good to see somoene blaming someone besides W for all their woes. You have a report that just came out blaming the presidential administration for a huricane. That is just plain stupid. Why not blame the weather... Hello! Here is some New Orleans humor, humor the New Orleans way.
FEMA:

The Poor folks who stayed or at least want people to think they stayed have their own humor. Or is it possible that they are poking fun at idiots who stayed and believe they are entitled to TVs and new shoes because W didnt stop the huricane?

Left's Chorus Grows for Bush Impeachment
FOXNews.com - Politics News - Left's Chorus Grows for Bush Impeachment: "'If a president's untruthfulness about sexual relationships is an impeachable offense, then surely spying on American citizens, undermining the Constitution and contravening current standing law are impeachable offenses,' Waters said comparing Bush's alleged crimes to ones former President Clinton was tried for."
This is why the left is finished in this country. They still can't accept the fact that Bill Clinton was impeached for purgery, not for getting a blow job. Bill Clinton used the exact same Presidential Powers to tap phones of domestic calls that had nothing to do with terror or anything illegal he just liked to listen in on his enemies. W is not going to be impeached. The Left is a thing of the past. Someone please tell the corpse he is dead.

Oprah Tears into Frey over "Pieces" - Yahoo! News
Oprah Tears into Frey over "Pieces" - Yahoo! News: "As the accusations against him continued to build, Frey appeared on Larry King Live earlier this month in an effort to defend himself and his book. During the interview, King took an on-air phone call from Winfrey, who had not yet spoken publicly about the controversy.
Taking a stance that likely relieved the embattled author, Winfrey dismissed the Smoking Gun's findings as 'irrelevant,' and called the resulting backlash against Frey 'much ado about nothing.'
'What is relevant is that he was a drug addict who spent years in turmoil, from the time he was 10 years old, drinking and--and tormenting himself and his parents,' Winfrey said at the time.
'And out of that, stepped out of that history to be the man that he is today, and to take that message to save other people and allow them to save themselves. That's what's important about this book and his story.'
On Thursday, Winfrey had changed her tune, telling Frey she felt he 'betrayed millions of readers' with his lies and that she regretted calling into King's show to express her support, especially after receiving harsh criticism from viewers disenchanted by her dismissive attitude toward Frey's fabrications.
'I made a mistake and I left the impression that the truth does not matter,' Winfrey said. 'And I am deeply sorry. Because that is not what I believe.'
In the face of Winfrey's angry interrogation, Frey admitted that the Smoking Gun's version of events 'was pretty accurate,' and even said the site 'did a good job' in exposing his lies."
To me Frey's book is a lot like The Bible. If you read it as an account of actual historical events you may come away with some doubts and delusions. But if you read it as a reference to a life that was broken and a man who managed somehow get it right you can learn some valuable lessons.
Please don't take that as a slam to The Bible.
Also remember that Frey was a drug addict. I have a person in my life who is very dear to me. As close a relation as life can bring to you and that person has related to me after years as an addict the they really cannot remember if some of the things that have been recounted are real or if they were objects of drug induced paranoia and halucinations.
Drug addicts are liars. Years after their addiction they may rid themselves of this quality but I can tell you from great experience that you can never take the word of an addict. They may not even know that they are lieing. They can be recounting halucinations of predatory spiders and spies that are after them and they honest to God believe that they are telling you the truth.
Lies are one of the first skills that an addict aquires in order to toss their life into this turmoil that destroys so many people. Once they start to see the truth about the drug, their own lives and themselves thast when they either check out or attempt recovery. All too often they cash their check and go down as another statistic.
Take it easy on Frey. He managed to survive something that most of his former peers never do. So what if he embellished the truth and even lied a bit. Look at the book and its possible good effects on addicts and those close to them who may read the book and benefit from it.

Townhall.com :: Columns :: God and New Orleans by Linda Chavez - Jan 18, 2006
Linda Chavez has nailed it on this one.
Townhall.com :: Columns :: God and New Orleans by Linda Chavez - Jan 18, 2006: "So why is it that New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin -- whose comments I've paraphrased above, substituting 'vanilla' for 'chocolate' and Salt Lake City for New Orleans -- can get away with such blatantly racist claptrap? Most major newspapers buried the mayor's comments, if they reported them at all, and those national news programs that played them did so largely without commentary. I can't imagine a white mayor praising the racial purity of a white community getting similar treatment. "
I'm sorry and I hate to be blatantly dense on such an easy subject but why is it that it is perfectly OK for a black political leader to be openly racist? He gets no criticism and no calls for his resignation. A "European American" can elude to the fact that African Americans(a term i still dont understand) has darker skin and they will be summarily executed by the press. How about some equal treatment. Maybe that's it. Equality I mean. What a concept if it were just applied... equally.

ACLU Sues to Stop Domestic Spying Program
ACLU Sues to Stop Domestic Spying Program - Yahoo! News: "NEW YORK - Civil liberties groups filed lawsuits in two cities Tuesday seeking to block President Bush's domestic eavesdropping program, arguing the electronic surveillance of American citizens was unconstitutional."
I'm not sure why the ACLU doesn't understand that your constitutional rights end when you exit the borders governed by that document.
I was traveling in England with an attorney friend when the police told us we had to leave a certain area. We probably had no business there in the first place and I was very willing to comply but my ACLU member card carrying attorney friend began to question the Bobbies based on his constitutional rights.
They then shoved him to the ground, handcuffed him and explained to him that he was in the soveriegn country of Great Britain and that he had no U.S. Constitutional rights.
I couldn't help but laugh.

Gun Control, Iraq and Washington DC
If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 per annum.
The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation's Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq. Conclusion:
We should immediately pull out of Washington D.C.

FOXNews.com - Zarqawi Disowned, We are Winning
AMMAN, Jordan — More than 370 members of the clan of Al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi joined his family Tuesday in publishing a full-page letter in Jordanian newspapers disowning him.
I cant help but be pleased by this development. Put simply it means that there is some kind of a limit to which these thugs are willing to go. Al Qaeda has killed far more Muslims in the last two years than they have anyone else. Terror is a war for the hearts and minds of people. Either through fear or through a mutual cause. Al Qaeda has lost touch with the people they claim to represent.
The fact that they blow up children and women by choice turns even the hardest heart. We are winning the war on terror slowly but surely. Another year in Iraq and I think it will all be done there. There are more places we may have to go but Iraqis are on the scent of freedom and I don't believe they can be deterred now.
Syria, be ready! I can't help but believe you are next. Hopefully you will see the writing on the wall and route the terrorists from your soil before more coalition troups have to die there finishing this cleanup.

Cindy Sheehan Fans a NO SHOW!

Bush's ranch on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005 in Crawford, Texas. Sheehan, whose 24-year-old Casey died in Iraq, called for anti-war activists to return to Crawford this week as Bush celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday. (AP Photo/Evan Vucci)
I wonder if this really shocks anyone? This woman has disgraced the memory of her son and alienated every family member she has with her sour grapes and anti-war rhetoric. Her book signing was a no show and the big sit in, (Note: the VietNam war has been over for 30 years, and the 60s have been over for 45) was a no show as well.
She claims to be a Gold Star mother but has no support from that organization, claims to be a liberal but they have finished using her and sits in front of a flag that her son died defending while she actively disgraces it.
All of her friends and all of her followers are right there with her.
Debunking the myth of the underprivileged soldier
Debunking the myth of the underprivileged soldier - Yahoo! News: "That's the view of some critics, such as New York Times columnist Bob Herbert, who writes that 'very few' of the soldiers fighting in Iraq 'are coming from the privileged economic classes,' and that there would likely be no war if rich kids had to fight. According to Rep. Charles Rangel (news, bio, voting record), D-N.Y., social equality demands reinstatement of the draft, which he justifies by asserting that 'the most privileged Americans are underrepresented or absent.' Herbert concludes that there is 'something very, very wrong with this picture.'
What's 'very, very wrong' with the Rangel-Herbert picture is that it has no factual basis."
What's really wrong with this picture is that Rangel is still in office. Maybe his constituents will get rid of him soon. He is a liar and a hate-monger. He spouts off all manner of lies and hateful urban myths and no one calls his hand on it. This is a common tactic amoung liberals these days and our goofy press rarely points out the "inaccuracies."
Thank yous go out to:
Tim Kane, an Air Force veteran, and James Jay Carafano, an Army veteran. Both are research fellows at The Heritage Foundation.

Paris - Criminals: 'We Hate the Police'
FOXNews.com - U.S. & World - Kids: 'We Hate the Police': "'You wear these clothes, with this color skin and you're automatically a target for police,' said Ahmed, 18, pointing to his mates in Izod polo shirts, Nike sneakers and San Antonio Spurs T-shirts."
Does anyone but me see a problem with this scenario? A supposedly poor, unemployed and disenfranchised "youth" in a Paris burb is wearing Izod, Polo, Nike and team logo shirts and he is singled out by the police.
Problem #1. NO poor person can afford those clothes.(period)
Problem #2. If it's the clothes and the gang attire that causes you to be singled out try dressing like you are not a gang memeber. Dress like a gang member = Be treated like a gang member.
He said the rioting has unified various housing projects that previously fought among themselves. The target of their rage is Sarkozy, who angered many in the suburbs by calling neighborhood toughs "scum."
"Before it was a gang warfare between different projects. Sarkozy's given us a common target — the government," said Karim.
The truth has already been told in this article. They were angry, pissed off and violent before Sarkozy told the truth about them, now they have a common goal. France will fire Sarkozy and give them what they want. Who knows what the worthless criminal gangsters will want next.

Police Reservists Called Up to Battle Rioters in France
FOXNews.com - U.S. & World - Police Reservists Called Up to Battle Rioters in France
Mark my predictions. France will capitulate to these criminals. They are NOT youths they are criminals. Terrorists and nothing less.
France will demand that the guy, I didn't even go back and find his name, who called these scumbags "scum," Which, by the way, they definitely are, resign.
France's lazy inaction and hide in the sand political stance has allowed this to spread to Germany and Belgium. It is really time that that section of Europe realizes that you cannot placate these criminals. They want anarchy. They want to do nothing and live as well as those who work every day and they want their beliefs cast on everyone without regard to a democratic process.

Alec Baldwin: From where here did he write this?
Alec Baldwin: Dems: Senate '06, House '08 - Yahoo! News: "Everyone seems so foamed up about Libby. And although Fitzgerald's work is important, these charges are the tip of an iceberg we may not need to see, in part or in full. Everything that is objectionable, demoralizing, criminal or ineffectual about this administration is already known. From the Florida vote to 9/11 to Iraq to Social Security to Katrina to Harriet Miers to Valerie Plame. It's all out there. It's all known. "
Hey Alec! Hey Alec! Are you the actor Alec Baldwin? Hmm, I'm just curious where you are right now since you swore you'd leave the US if W was elected. After the close race in Florida that Bush clearly and legally won you said he wasn't elected and stayed. But... I don't think even a leftist idiot, uneducated, immature, childish and unimportant actor as yourself could possibly dent his lates election to the office.
I was so excited to see W win thinking we would be rid of a big mouth like you. Like most Democrats you were lying and grandstanding and didn't keep your word. That's it isn't it? You guys hate W because he DOES NOT cheat on his wife, DOES NOT lie at every opportunity and IS basically a good Christian man.
All this being the case I guess the premise that,
All men lie and cheat,
Bill Clinton is a man,
Therefore Bill Clinton lies and cheats... (and so does everyone else so its OK)
kinda goes out the window doesn't it. Ya know? It IS OK to be a good man, an honest man and to live by the words and teachings of your father and mother. Imagine that!

It's OK to be a Racist...
Neighbors defend protest over neo-Nazi march - Race in America - MSNBC.com: "You can't allow people to come challenge a whole city and not think they weren't going to strike back, said Kenneth Allen, 47, who watched the violence begin near his home.
Authorities said there was little they could do to stop the group, because they did not apply for a parade permit and instead planned to walk along sidewalks.
They do have a right to walk on the Toledo sidewalks, said Mayor Jack Ford, who at one point confronted leaders of the mob and tried to settle them down.
A gang member in a mask threatened to shoot him, and others cursed him for allowing the march, the mayor said. He said he didn't know if the man who threatened him was actually armed, but he blamed gangs for much of the violence. The march had been called off because of the crowds, and the white supremacist had left."
I wonder what the press would have made out of it if an assembly of racist whites in D.C. during the Million Man March (less that 100k by the way) had rioted and burned a few buildings? The would have been charged with Civil Rights crimes and it would have been all over every rag in this country. But you let a bunch of unruly criminal black destroy a city block and it barely gets notice.
The only racism I have witnessed in this country in the last few years is the blatant anti-white blacks like Louis Farakahn, Jessee Jackson and Al Sharpton. It's OK to have your "black anger" and when you're down burn the neighborhood bar and steal a big screen TV. After all, 150 years ago someone offended your grandpa.

Fat is a Choice
Fat people are fat. They are not caloricly challenged. They are fat. They are fat because they eat and drink too much. It is NOT their glands or their genetics. A basic tenet of physics is that you cannot create or destroy matter. If you burn more calories than you intake you will lose weight. (Period) This is a fact, not a fad diet or a means of selling something. The fact that a gastric bypass makes the morbidly obese slim again is a glaring proof that people are fat because they overeat. Fat is a choice. If you like being fat more power to ya. Everyone should be who they are comfortable being. If you are fat and hate being fat stop eating so much.
Fat is not a protected class of people. You do not have a “right” to be looked after in a special way because you are fat. If your ass is too wide to sit in an airplane seat you should have to buy either a first class ticket or buy two seats. I know it costs you more but you chose to be fat so pay for the extra real estate you take up on public transportation just like you do the extra food you eat.
Fat is a choice. If you like being fat more power to ya. Everyone should be who they are comfortable being. If you are fat and hate being fat stop eating so much. If you are offended by people calling you fat grow up.
This article is dedicated to the 400 pounder that argued with me this past weekend about whether she had a right to lift the armrest between her seat and mine so that her blubber could settle on to my seat on a two hour plane ride. I just simply refused to let her do it.
She called an attendant and demanded that she force me to allow her to raise the armrest so she could basically sit in her seat and mine. The attendant asked me if it would be OK and I said “Absolutely NOT!” The poor attendant was embarrassed and said that she would try to find other arrangements on the sold out flight.
When the attendant walked away I was assaulted with name calling and the likes by this huge cow. She actually told me that she couldn’t help being fat and that I should be ashamed of myself. I told her she was too fat to sit in a single seat and should by two or use first class and that she could be thin if she wanted to and that I was most definitely not ashamed of myself.
The attendant moved her to a first class seat and the guy from first class came and sat beside me. He thought the whole thing was funny. He also told me that he had once weighed just over 300 pounds. He was currently at about 210 or so. He said he was fat all his life. His mother was fat; father and siblings were all fat. One day at 30 years old he told his family he was tired of being fat and was going to be slim. They all laughed and told him it was genetic and he couldn’t change it. A year and a hundred pounds later he was fit and trim.
Life is full of choices. If you make choices that gain you the ire of the general public don’t get mad at the public. Life is full of choices, make the right ones.

White GOPer Charges Racism at Tenn. Black Caucus
White GOPer Charges Racism at Tenn. Black Caucus: "Stefanie Lindquist, a professor of law and political science at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, said the case sets the Constitution against itself.
'You have, in effect, one piece of the Constitution pitted against another piece of the Constitution the First Amendment freedom of association pitted against the equal protection clauses of the 14th Amendment,' she said. 'Hard to say which one will win out.'"
When a black man is refused admittance, because of his skin color, to an all white organization that is racism. When a white man is refused admittance, because of his skin color, to an all black organization that is racism. What part of this doesn't work?
Never met Stephanie Lundquist but I hate to hear that she is teaching law and political science at Vanderbuilt (a wonderful university by the way) and she sees a constitutional conflict. There is none. White men were stripped of their freedom of association rights years ago. Either integrate all organizations or give white males their right to freedom of association back.

Roy Moore for Governor! NOT in my Alabama!
Roy Moore for Governor!
http://atheism.about.com/b/a/044218.htm
I don't want to offend people who live in the South, but what is wrong with the citizens of Alabama? Judge Roy Moore was kicked off the state's Supreme Court because he violated basic codes of ethics by trying to abuse his position of authority, and now the people of Alabama would be happy electing him governor.
You know there is the perfect term that pops into my mind when people write things like this. "Jackass!" Jackass is such a nice term to describe a person who would brand the whole state of Alabama as "pro-Roy Moore" just because the idiot is running for Governor. It is not our fault that he is running. Not one single vote in his favor has been cast.
I doubt you have ever been to Alabama and if you have you obviously didn't pay attention. All we want here is to be left alone. Not written about. Not annoyed with opinions of people who think we are all ignorant. We will not come and bother you so please stay the hell out of Alabama. Stay out of our news, our parks our beaches and most of all our politics.

FOXNews.com - Politics - Senator Demands Apology for Bennett Remarks
FOXNews.com - Politics - Senator Demands Apology for Bennett Remarks: "WASHINGTON Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (search) and other Democrats on Thursday demanded that former Education Secretary William Bennett (search) apologize for remarks on his radio program linking the crime rate and the abortion of black babies. "
Why should he apologize for telling the truth. Number one, what he said was taken totally out of its context and number two it was true. It was coarse, gut wrenching and horrible, but it was true.
It is a sad day when it has become more important to be PC than it is to be honest. We have the Clinton years to thank for that in part but this has been going on for a long time. How many people out there remember when Jimmy The Greek lost his job for telling the truth about black athletes? What he said made people a bit uncomfortable but it was absolutely the truth. So... He was fired for it.
By the way. What the hell is an "African" American? Do I get to be called a "Creek/German" American. No I don't. Guess why? Because no one is trying to politicize the difference in Creek, German and American. We label things so we can dissect the differences in them and otherwise similar things. Same with people. As long as people want to be "special class" Americans instead of us all being "just" Americans we will have rifts.
In science animals that can produce fertile offspring are considered the same species. Last I checked black, white, brown, red, yellow and several shades between can all create fertile offspring. NEWS FLASH!!! That means we are all members of the Human Race. The same race. We need to drop the race schtick and concentrate on our common interests and goals not our differences.

U.S. Insists on Keeping Control of Web
U.S. Insists on Keeping Control of Web: "U.S. Insists on Keeping Control of Web

GENEVA -- A senior U.S. official rejected calls on Thursday for a U.N. body to take over control of the main computers that direct traffic on the Internet, reiterating U.S. intentions to keep its historical role as the medium's principal overseer.
'We will not agree to the U.N. taking over the management of the Internet,' said Ambassador David Gross, the U.S. coordinator for international communications and information policy at the State Department. 'Some countries want that. We think that's unacceptable.'
Many countries, particularly developing ones, have become increasingly concerned about the U.S. control, which stems from the country's role in creating the Internet as a Pentagon project and funding much of its early development."
I know i sound like a nationalist pig but the Untited States is the only reason the internet exists. The US military started it, funded it and designed it with some help from universities like Stamford and a few others. NO! Al Gore had not a damned thing to do with it. Just like many other programs the world likes it and now they want to take it over. I think that they can buy it from us if they want to. Otherwise sorry, no giving away the internet.

The Radiant Mrs. Bush
How can a person possibly dislike Laura Bush? Her winning smile and warm demeanor is such a welcomed contrast to her predecessor. When the press hounded President Clinton, Hillary Clinton looked like a rabid dog biting and snapping at any and everything that raised its head. In total reverse you see the warm and inviting Laura Bush with her calm and pleasant personality.
She is also a very attractive woman. I happen to believe that women are there very best at about 50 years old. With a radiant smile and a warm heart she has refused to be daunted by the relentless abuse that her husband has been subjected to and she just keeps on going.
Thanks First Lady Bush. Thanks for your smile, your demeanor and thank you so much for the contrast.

Mouse grounds plane for 13 hours - Sep 28, 2005
CNN.com - Mouse grounds plane for13 hours - Sep 28, 2005: "MANILA, Philippines (Reuters) -- A mouse upset the best-laid plans of an airline and nearly 250 passengers in the Philippines, grounding a plane for 13 hours while engineers tried to smoke out the rodent.
The plane was preparing for take-off from Manila airport earlier this week when a crew member spotted the mouse scampering across an aisle in the economy class section, the Philippine Daily Inquirer quoted airport officials as saying.
The captain ordered the passengers to disembark while maintenance staff fumigated the aircraft and laid traps, but the mouse was nowhere to be found.
The Doha-bound aircraft eventually took off 13 hours late, presumably with the mouse still on board, dead or alive.
'There was an incident before with a cockroach, but it's the first time that we had to deal with a mouse,' the Inquirer quoted airport operations chief Octavio Lina as saying. "
I can tell you for sure that this mouse was under the influence of Muslim Extremists in The Philippines. He was trained by Al'Quaida Mindinao forces. He was planning to eat thru the fuel lines during flight and blow the airplane up.
He found some illegally smuggled cheese in the baggage compartment and became distracted eating. After that the lazy terrorist decided to take a nap. As far as we know now he is being interviewed by the Democratic National Convention to replace Nader as their head terrorist rat.
The previously mentioned cockroach is serving as Governor of Louisiana and is still undetected by the media.

Andy Rooney is Very Close to Being Right

I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things Like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.
Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.
I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE?
I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.
I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.
I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!
My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours. I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry behind if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.
I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.
I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.
It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!"
I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!
I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go
around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else
And if you don't like my point of view, tough...

Liberals Feed on Each Other... Mayor slams Blanco
Mayor slams Blanco for stalling-Nation/Politics-The Washington
"Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco has been critical of the Bush administration's response to the disastrous aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but, according to the mayor of New Orleans, her indecision when President Bush offered help delayed rescue efforts and cost lives. "
OpinionJournal - Extra: "The federal government does not have the authority to intervene in a state emergency without the request of a governor. President Bush declared an emergency prior to Katrina hitting New Orleans, so the only action needed for federal assistance was for Gov. Blanco to request the specific type of assistance she needed. She failed to send a timely request for specific aid. In addition, unlike the governors of New York, Oklahoma and California in past disasters, Gov. Blanco failed to take charge of the situation and ensure that the state emergency operation facility was in constant contact with Mayor Nagin and FEMA. It is likely that thousands of people died because of the failure of Gov. Blanco to implement the state plan, which mentions the possible need to evacuate up to one million people. The plan clearly gives the governor the authority for declaring an emergency, sending in state resources to the disaster area and requesting necessary federal assistance."

Hillary... Ethics? You gotta be kidding!
Judicial Watch: "According to the evidence compiled by Judicial Watch in the last ten years, Hillary Clinton is among the most corrupt politicians in our nations history. She devised a scheme to sell taxpayer financed trade missions to Communist China in exchange for campaign contributions. She presided over the theft of the private FBI files of former Reagan and Bush staffers. She led the campaign to slander the women sexually and otherwise abused by President Clinton, and has lied time and time again to investigators, to her colleagues, to the press and to the American people."

... Where the deer and the antelope... Eat their own
Racism is a sickening phenomenon. What’s worse than that is cannibalism. Eating your own is somehow more disgraceful than others eating those like you who are different from you.
On TV we see it all the time. This lion goes chasing some antlered animal, catches it and starts eating it. The word victim comes to mind for the hoofed quarry but you never really despise the lion for what she does.
How would you feel though if you saw one antelope turn and trip another so the lion could catch him? Or better yet the antelope just kills his cousin and starts chowing down. Something about that just isn’t right. You can feel it, maybe not totally understand what you feel but its wrong.
When men like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan suggest that the people of New Orleans were ignored because they were black it makes me want to puke. Rather than try to help their own they feed on them daily. The division between black and white Americans is doing far more harm to the minorities than to the majority.
What is worse than all this is the cost. Look at the coast of Mississippi. It was hit five times as hard as New Orleans. The damage is exponentially worse from Pass Christian to Bay St Louis than it is anywhere in New Orleans. You can’t even tell where the buildings were in Mississippi for a sixty mile stretch. Five entire cities were wiped off the map and no one even seems to care. And… ahem! Excuse me Mr. Sharpton/Jackson/Farrakhan; there were black people there too. Black, White, Asian, Hispanic and on and on. Don’t you dare tell me about poor people in New Orleans! Mississippi is the poorest state in the country. Funny, they didn’t have much of a looting problem in Mississippi either. Curious? I wonder why not. Could it be that before the storm the coastal Mississippi residents weren’t sitting around waiting on a handout so they didn’t really expect one when the storm was over. Could it be that there is virtue in being employed and self reliant? Could it be that the welfare system in this country is what has created the crime rate and racial tension that still lingers?
Could it be that when you feed clothe and house a man asking nothing in return that you actually take away his dignity and self respect. Is it our system that has destroyed minorities in this country? No one is helped out of poverty by welfare. They are driven deeper into it.
White men are not the enemy of minorities in this country. Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton are your enemies. They love money more than they do their own race. They would trip their brothers and see them eaten up by an unforgiving world rather than give up their gravy train that is fueled by the hopelessness and despair of generations of their own people. The men who offer you a carrot not to go out and get a job, offer you a dollar to have another child you can’t hope to feed these are your enemies.

Seth Greenland: Cry of the Bushbots - Yahoo! News: "And finally, He's not one of you liberal assholes! they screech, as if the epic incompetence of the Bush Administration is somehow preferable to the eight years of peace and prosperity that preceded it."
Hmm, Me thinks Mr. Greenland has already began rewriting history. Relative Peace? The worst domestic terrorist attack ever, Oklahoma City, in case he forgot. Then a botched attempt to topple the World Trade Center. Somalia. The ralative peace Mr Greenland speaks of was purchgased at the price of The US appearing to bury her head in sight of danger. The ralative peace and limp retaliations led directly to the 9/11 attack. Eight embarrassing years of President Clinton was enough for me. Not a Bush fan here... Just making sure we remember President Clinton for who he really was.

Arianna Huffington: Will the Dems Ever Learn? "It's The National Security, Stupid" | The Huffington Post
The Blog Arianna Huffington: Will the Dems Ever Learn? "It's The National Security, Stupid" The Huffington Post: "Did the Dems learn nothing from 2004? Bush won because he had a double-digit lead on the question of who was going to keep us safer.
Well, Katrina shoots that idea straight to hell, doesn't it? And Democrats should make clear once and for all just how illusory the president's purported strength, leadership, and steely-eyed resolve really are."
Dear God! What is this world coming to? I actually agree with Arianna Huffington about something. This is, I believe, the second time that has ever happened. In the first place the Democrats have not had a platform since Bill Clinton was elected and the still don't get it.
The louder they scream the sillier they sound and people are just walking away from the party saying, "What the heck." No one listens to them any more, not even their own people. As a conservative you may think I am dancing in the aisles but I am NOT. We, The US, needs a two or maybe even three party system. We need it to keep it honest. We need liberal minded people to stand up and say that blooming idiots like Howard Dean do NOT represent the Democratic parties constituents. For Howard Dean to call anyone a racist is a huge case of "cast the beam from thine own eye before you remove the mote from thy brother", if I have ever seen one. Howard Dean hasn't lived within a hundred miles of a black family ever in his life. But.. I digress.
Back to the subject. I wouldn't call myself a republican because I think they are nearly as bad as the Democrats at propaganda and smoke and mirrors. The libertarian party is where about 80% of the population of this country lies when it comes to political belief. I wish they were stronger and had more numbers. If the Dems don't pull their heads out of the sand we are going to be pressed further and further toward conservatism. We need the balance back. Remember that you read this here. If they don't get something going, the 2008 election will spell the end of the two party system in this country. So... Pull your collective heads out and get a platform, create a contract with America like Newt did for the Republicans and tell us what you stand for and keep your word once you win, if its not already too late. The country needs you.

News: "Look, if we've learned anything from watching shows like CSI, Law & Order, and their endless progeny, it's that you can't let a crime scene grow cold. You've got to start collecting and analyzing the evidence while the DNA is still fresh and let David Caruso or Vincent D'Onofrio start sweating the perps while the passions are still running high."
I get it now. I see why Ms. Huffington is always so dead wrong. She watches TV and thinks it's all real. Since she is pointing out crime dramas to decipher what happened in Katrina's wake, why doesn't she recall "Cold Case?"

Big Question
A Big Question
I have a big question for the Democratic Party. It seems that all they have said and done in the last six years is to bash W. Bush. They have not offered any evidence of a platform or a plan or even an honest opinion about anything other than the need to bash W. I am curious why they are still doing nothing but the above even though they will be running against someone else in the next election. If they keep spending all their energy trying to beat Bush, which; by the way it’s too late to do that, they will be starting and election without a platform and nothing to offer the people of the US other than a lot of negativity.
It’s like the Sheehan farce going on out in Texas. She says Bush won’t meet with her and he already did, right after he son was killed. She has supporters that have been convicted of aiding terrorists. She says The US in not worth dying for. And she wants my sympathy; your sympathy; for what? Her son who volunteered for military service and was so proud of his home that he was willing to die to defend her was killed. Then she disgraces his sacrifice by saying that this country wasn’t worth it. She uses her own son’s tragic death to have her moment in the sun.
I choose to respect the sacrifices of our fallen soldiers and to ignore the shrill voices of those who disgrace the very progeny they pretend to grieve for. Mrs. Sheehan, please shut up and go home. The complete opposite is needed from The Democratic Party. Please speak up. Tell us what you stand for. Tell us who you really are. Shut up about W. Bush and tell us what your vision for this country is. We need choices in the upcoming elections. So far there is the Bush and the Anti-Bush movement. Neither one will be a candidate on ’08.

Gary Hart: Moral Authority - Yahoo! News
Gary Hart: Moral Authority - Yahoo! News: "There are those who earn their moral authority the hard way, by going to jail or, like Cindy Sheehan, by sacricing a loved one. Such people do not merely earn an audience with the president.
Such people deserve an accounting."
This was a very good article and it touched on the real reason that the Democratic Party is falling by the wayside in this country. The real reason is that for the last 12 or 15 years the Dems have become known for never having a point of view and never doing what they promise during campaigns.
Then, Hart has to leap off into total ignorant outer space and mention that disrespectful lady in Texas. She is using taking the grief that should be placed in honoring her son and making a mockery of his death by accusing the President of imposing a sentence on her son that he actually volunteered for. Then, even though her son was a proud volunteer, she demands that President Bush force his children into the same place. I'll wager that her son would NOT approve of her actions.
I'm curious how hard she tried to talk her son out of joining the military. How against war was she before her son's death? If she wasn't anti-war until her son was killed that makes her a selfish and sore loser.
The most sad thing about the whole deal is not her misguided grief but the puppeteers that are pulling her strings. They pull her strings and try their best to make Bush look bad. They don't offer a solution. They don't offer an alternative. They just offer sour grapes and the attitudes of an entire culture of sore losers.

Why suicide attackers haven't hit U.S. again - Wrong Answer
Why cant the buffoons in the press who created the politically correct ostrich head in the sand society see past their own idiotic creation? Read this ludicrous paragraph.
Why suicide attackers haven't hit U.S. again - Yahoo! News: "'There is no accurate criminal profile for them. Anyone who tells you differently is trying to get on TV,' says Mia Bloom, author of Dying to Kill, a study of suicide terror. 'And if we had a profile, the terrorists would learn about it and use it against us.'"
There IS a profile. Whether you like it or not. There is a profile for a terrorist. Radical Islamic Mle between 20 and 35 years old. There are exceptions to every profile as there is to every rule but that is a good starting place.
This is NOT a racial thing. There are many Arabs and many Muslims Arab and non-Arab in this country that don't fit the profile i just layed out. Religious fanatics whether they are Osama bin-Laden or Roy Moore are the most dangerous people in this country. If they are citizens watch them closely, if not deport them.
Does the fact that Roy Moore is a Martian mean we can launch is embarrassing butt into outer space? Hmm, what a concept.

David Sirota: How Beltway-itis Rots Reporters Brains & Distorts America's Political Debate - He should know
My big question to David Sirota is how long he has been off the fumes in the beltway? All kidding aside. A faux pa is great in the right place. Read the last patagraph here. Does he think the media actually are "elite?"
David Sirota: How Beltway-itis Rots Reporters Brains & Distorts America's Political Debate - Yahoo! News: "A lot has been written about how, when reporters spend too much time in Washington, D.C., their brains start to rot, and they start spewing back insider gossip and stereotype that is so removed from reality, you think you are reading the rantings of patients in an insane asylum. Case in point is Washington Post reporter Dan Balz - one of the most intellectually impaired reporters working today. "
Thankfully, the brainwashing attempt isn't going to work. As much as the media arrogantly looks down at the public as stupid, the American people are innately smart, especially when elites try to manipulate them.

Dog Beats Most in Swim From Alcatraz - Good News

I'm sucker for a good dog story. This is kinda funny.
Dog Beats Most in Swim From Alcatraz - Yahoo! News: "He was the only dog among more than 500 swimmers who lept into the chilly, choppy waters on Saturday, coming in 72nd overall. His time was 41 minutes and 45 seconds.
The crowd cheered as the 4-year-old pooch made his way onto solid ground, shaking sprays of water and dodging a woman who tried to put a medal around his neck."

Scratch that nice letter
Alabama Policy Institute Home Page...conservative think tank.: "'Private property shall not be taken for, or applied to public use, unless just compensation be first made therefore; nor shall private property be taken for private use without the consent of the owner' Alabama Constitution of 1901, Sec. 23, Eminent domain."
The preceeding blog entry was about Governor Riley "protecting" Alabamians from the most recent SCOTUS screwup of legislation from the bench. But... Guess what? In Alabama we have been protected from this by our constitution since 1901.
So what does this mean? This means that Governor Riley is going to protect us by softening our constitution to allow factories and the likes to steal our property.
"As a man is said to have a right to his property, he may equally said to have a property in his rights." James Madison.
Get a grip Governor Riley! We see what you're up to.

Open Letter to the Governor of Alabama, Bob Riley, Supreme Court eminent-domain ruling
States move to blunt effect of Supreme Court eminent-domain ruling: "In Alabama, Republican Gov. Bob Riley is drawing up a bill that would prohibit city and county governments from using eminent domain to take property for retail, office or residential development. It would still allow property to be taken for industrial development, such as new factories, and for roads and schools."
I don't mean to insult you but this measure falls a step short of the protection we deserve. I'm sorry Governor Riley! Do you remember when you ran for election? You ran as a Republican. We (I voted for you) elected a Republican not a Socialist. I'm gonna leave out the tax increase (very Democratic thing to do) that you tried to pull on us. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the quick action you are taking. Eminent Domain is intended to insure public right of way and for schools and government installations. The key here being "public." When a private business be it a factory, condo or a mall cant find realestate that is too bad for them. They need to try harder to find a good place, not steal fairly and rightfully owned property.
I shuddered when I heard about the SCOTUS ruling on this. As usual they didn't tell the whole truth. The opinions did make clear that it is up to the states to police these practices in their own venue. I live on the Gulf Coast. I hate all those huge condos and then I think of the economic impact and I go... Oh well. But then I see the few smaller land owners there that still have their small houses on the beach and I think what a tragedy it would be to steal there property so that another private owner could build there.
Press on with this legislation but drop the factory stuff. It is NOT OK to take from one private owner to give to another private owner. That is stealing. Keep eminent domain in the public arena and we will all be safe.
Thank you.

The World's Most Self Absorbed Woman
Danielle Crittenden: New York's Failed Olympic Bid Fault of Vast Euro Conspiracy Senator Clinton Charges - Yahoo! News: "My point is that New York deserved this not London. We were the ones attacked on 9/11.
Friends of the senator went further: Hillary herself deserved this, said a close female friend, who asked not to be named. She went to Wellesley. And look what shes had to endure since."
Hillary Clinton really thinks this is all about her. This is the same Senator who rails on Bush for capitalizing on a tragedy, and then thinks that she should use that 911 tragedy to land the Olympics for NYC.

Idaho suspect's records show violent history - Crime & Punishment - MSNBC.com
Idaho suspect's records show violent history - Crime & Punishment - MSNBC.com: "As an alternative to prison, Duncan underwent treatment at the Sex Offender Program and Western State Hospital in Washington state, where he lived during his teenage years. Twenty-two months later, he was kicked out of the program for sneaking off the campus and having rape fantasies, the Times said. A judge then reinstated his 20-year prison sentence in March 1982 and Duncan served 14 years in prison.
Duncan's next encounter with the law came in April, when he was released on $15,000 bail after being charged with molesting a boy in Fargo, N.D. Police in Fargo had been looking for Duncan since May, when he failed to check in with a probation agent. "
Do we even need to ask the question here? Why was he released on bail? Very obviously this chrge would have revoked any probation and popped him back into the slammer. As I read this article I couldnt help see the thread of off the wall apologist bull that makes it look like this guy was a victim and is not responsible for his crimes. "Poor, poor little murdering rapist, it's not his fault..."
Again. There should be some accountability for the people who sat there, parole boards and bail granting judges, and let this freak back out to prey on the communities children. I know this is a dead horse but I have gone from sick & sad to down right angry.
Violent sex offenders should be locked up for life without any chance whatsoever of ever being paroled.

Idaho Girl Recounts Nightmarish Ordeal - Yahoo! News: "Shasta and Dylan were repeatedly molested,' Kootenai County Sheriff's Sgt. Brad Maskell wrote in a terse, handwritten affidavit released Tuesday. 'Shasta saw Mr. Duncan molest Dylan.'"
I'm having a real hard time with this whole story as it unfolds. All my adult life I have had a problem with capital punishment. I think the members of the parole board who released this guy should be held criminally liable for this. Sex offenders DO NOT change! I became physically ill, nearly vomited when I read this story and I cant get the tears out of my eyes. Ted bundy is the Easter Bunny up beside this monster. Did I hear someone say "Public Execution!?" The ones who died in this are the lucky ones. This poor little girl will live with this, this... Shit, the rest of her life. We can warm up the Yellow Mama here in Alabama if they're too sensitive out there to do the right thing.

The Seattle Times: Local News: Iraq war claims first woman from Washington state
The Seattle Times: Local News: Iraq war claims first woman from Washington state
Jonathan:
Women are citizens just like men and they deserve the right and privilege of serving in our armed services in any role that they can qualify for following the same guidelines that their male counterparts use for qualification.
Larry(Butch):
It’s about time women risked their lives for the freedoms that they enjoy. By God there are more women in The US than men and only 10% of the force in Iraq! I tell ya its not fair being a man and expected to risk it all while women sit at home and risk nothing.
Juan:
Women are by nature more frail and weaker and shouldn’t be exposed to the rigors and risks involved in combat. While I feel that they are equal in other ways I think that’s a bit unrealistic to think that they would be involved in combat. What would happen in a hand-to-hand situation? Goodness! They could be killed, raped or worse!
Carl:
I don’t want some woman trying to carry my wounded ass out of a combat zone. A 115lb woman just cant do the job a 200 pound man can. Plus they get all emotional and fall apart at the drop of a hat.
The ACLU (rights advocate)
We could sue the military for letting this Marine get killed and putting a woman in harm’s way. “Her rights were violated by a bomb that would have never been there if it wasn’t for George W. Bush.”
Charlotte(Charli):
We have just as much pride and patriotism as men. We deserve the opportunity and honor of serving our country in any way we can. If I can meet the physical and psychological requirements that my male counterparts meet I should be eligible for the job no matter what position it places me in.
Brandi
Well, I just don’t think women should be required to do this. War is a guy thing and there are plenty of jobs here at home where we can make a contribution. We’re just not cut out for those types of things anyway.
Barbara (Bob)
I am a woman… Hear me roar. It should be a sliding scale for men and women. There are certain things men are required to do to qualify that are unrealistic for women. But, we should still be allowed to serve in combat. I can do anything a man can do.
The ACLU (rights obscurer)
We could sue the military for not allowing women to go to combat. Oops! Wait a minute. We already sued them for having the Marine in the wrong place… “It’s OK. We aren’t accountable for anything we do anyway.”
Tony (Me, the author)
One thing I can tell you about women in combat is simple. The ARE already there. The same goes with homosexuals in the armed forces and many other hotly debated military issues. Women have served a vital role in our military almost since it’s inception. Albeit it has not always been on the front lines they have always been there. Supporting, supplying, manufacturing and sadly enough, dieing. As early as The Revolution, so basically before we were a country, women have served.
http://userpages.aug.com/captbarb/femvets.html
Women have stood in the background and worked equally as hard for their freedoms as any man has and in many instances even harder. Come on guys! We didn’t have to protest for the right to vote or to even be counted as “other than property.”
The military has a way of letting things happen smoothly and in due time without a lot of upheaval. You can see evidence of this in the evolution of a woman’s role here in the Iraq war. You cannot admit a woman to The United States Marine Corps and say that women don’t serve in combat. Infantry is always the first job there. If the press and lawyers will stay out of it a natural transition will take place in our military. Her (the military complex) evolution will be slow and methodical as usual but it always seems to work itself out. It saddens me to see the death of any Marine, Sailor, Soldier or Airman but change is always painful. I hope that her family and friends view her as I and most of the rest of the country do. An American Hero who gave it all. An American Hero who gave her all. Simply put. A True American..

How Religion and Politics Can (NOT) Blend
I'm sorry but I think these guys still don't get it. Religion and Law should be based on the same group of principals but the two should never be based on each other. Does that sound contradictory? It really isn't.
We have religious principals that prohibit theft. That arises from a core belief system that supports private property and ownership. In the end laws prohibit the same. If you made a law against theft based on the religious principal you would be entering a dangerously gray area.
That's an easy issue but what about the old sticky one... Abortion. Nearly anyone would say that infanticide is murder, but that's after the live birth. Most secular belief is that taking a human life should be prohibited. So now there is this gray area that concerns when that formation becomes a human and so on and so forth. I think this debate should be constrained to arguments that do NOT concern religion. Arguing it based on secular principals would be a much more legally stable platform.
What the religious right(usually wrong) don't get is that the more they involve their religion in politics the more politics is going to get involved in their religion. The zealots need to learn to live their lives the way they choose and feel free to instruct their children to do the same but they need to leave the law alone. Religion should be a choice and not a mandate.
Just remember as you see your religious freedoms swirling down the drain that it is you who invite the plumber to fix the pipes.
How Religion and Politics Can Blend - Yahoo! News: "Even a corner-of-the-eye glance at US politics this past year and the conclusion is obvious: Religion has played a polarizing role.
Abortion, stem-cell research, the war in Iraq, gay marriage, prayer in schools were and still are just some of the 2004 election campaign issues that brought out religious voices. Church activists played leading roles in making sure bans on same-sex marriages passed in 13 states. A Candidate's attendance or non-attendance at church in some cases became an issue. Even driving an SUV became a question to ask - 'What would Jesus drive?' - for left-leaning churches."

The ACLU should change its name
The ACLU has to be the most blatantly anti-Amercan group on the planet. Two weeks ago they were bashing the US for kicking a Muslim holy book but this week they want you to think it's OK to desecrate our flag. WTF... Over! I have never seen such blatant stupidity in all my life. Anything, and I do mean ANYTHING that is patriotic, American, Christian or white is fair game but if it's an anti-American group, movement or concept it should be protected and all it's sentimentalities should be revered by all. I am issuing a challenge. Someone please explain why the Koran should be revered but not the flag of the United States or the Christian Bible.
Vote on flag desecration may be 'cliffhanger' - Yahoo! News: "The Senate may be within one or two votes of passing a constitutional amendment to ban desecration of the U.S. flag, clearing the way for ratification by the states, a key opponent of the measure said Tuesday.
'It's scary close,' said Terri Schroeder of the American Civil Liberties Union, which opposes the amendment. 'People think it's something that's never going to happen. ... The reality is we're very close to losing this battle.'"

Go! Go! Dean
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
I read two interesting articles today on the net. Both leave me totally confused about the mind set of the Democratic Party. It’s like they keep sticking their hand in boiling water, they see it hurts, so in order to fix it they stick it in to the elbow next time and bang! Then they go ahead and dive the rest of the way in.
After the Dems lost the election to W the first time they stepped back and said, “You know, if the American people knew what we were all about they would elect us.” So they got the word out and shifted a little further to the left and it really turned the voters off so in the midterm election they lost a few more seats in congress.
Along comes Nancy Pelosi and she says to them that they are not left enough so they go further from the center. That costs them another Whitehouse bid and a few more seats on the hill.
Understand that this is a critique of the Dems and not a defense of Republicans or conservatives in general. They just don’t get it. Dems are so out of touch with the average American that they just sound, feel and taste totally out of reasonable bounds. Now to prove that they still believe that the “just need to get the word out,” they have placed the most left oddball on the planet in their leadership position at the DNC. Howard Dean. Dean has the nerve to suggest racial and religious factionalism when he is from the most racist state in the US. He has no hint of an idea what integration is all about. All across the south Black men and women are prospering at a constantly accelerating rate by far out striding their northern and western contemporaries.
Then Dean opens his mouth and just embarrasses his entire party with his far-far-left rhetoric. The only thing I can think of is that the Dems hired him so that he could let the nation see how ridiculously left they could be in order to fire him and look like they are gonna try to center up a bit.
After hiring Dean as DNC boss they go on a hunt for the anti-Arnold candidate in California to try to defeat Schwarzenegger. Arnold is hugely popular. Why not look for someone with some of the same qualities who is more to their political liking. No! They are going to stand up and as the elitists that they are they are going to tell you what you should think, should feel and by god who you should be more like.
All I can say to the Dems is, “Go, Go Dean!” Keep up that rhetoric and keep telling people that you know better for them what they should think and you loose a dozen more seats in this next election and your party will be relegated to history.
Zimbabwe's president denies he's dead - Africa - MSNBC.com
I'm sorry but there is just a great deal of humor here. I love hearing good news for a change. For once we are hearing the someone is NOT dead.
Zimbabwe's president denies he's dead - Africa - MSNBC.com: "I told the president that he is reportedly dead from last week as a result of heart failure. He laughed and said: When did I die and where? the paper quoted Mugabes spokesman George Charamba as saying."

When will China answer for Tiananmen massacre? - Yahoo! News
When will China answer for Tiananmen massacre? - Yahoo! News: "Time naturally erodes indignation. But now, more than ever, China's communist leaders need pushing to disclose what happened. No country that keeps such tight political control can be a trusted member of the international community. "
This is a big call here. We in the US want China to own up to it’s massacres but we still haven’t explained why we murdered millions of Native Americans here. We still haven’t explained why we murdered David Koresh’s followers, including their children. Maybe we should cast the beam from our own eye before we offer to remove the mote from our brother’s.

Deep Throat' is more hero than villain - Says the Press
On balance, 'Deep Throat' is more hero than villain - Yahoo! News: "Felt revered the FBI and despised the White House for manipulating the agency politically. Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward wrote Thursday that Felt 'thought the Nixon team were Nazis' and feared for the country's future."
It is amazing to me how what Felts did can possibly make him a hero. He knew of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” committed by the president and he did nothing accept leak it to the press. I am willing to bet that that is a felony. The obvious reason to most of us is that he was passed over by Nixon for the #1 job in the FBI and he was getting even. While Nixon was a slimy character at best the truth is the secret tapes and such were going on before Nixon was caught. I am NOT saying it was OK for Nixon to do it. Just that the FBI knew when Johnson was doing it too.
You will never hear the truth here from the press in this country because Watergate was their finest moment. It is when the press in the US deposed a president. They love it, love the power and thank goodness they will never have that power again. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that this guy should be brought up on charges for what he did. The information he leaked was clearly classified. If he wanted to do something he should have had Nixon investigated.
The one thing I will have to give Felts credit for is that he did steal Woodward’s thunder by revealing the story. I’m sure Woodward was salivating over the day that Felts died so he could do some more grandstanding. Woodward is a has been and so is Felts. Good riddance to them both. Sour grapes are never a good reason to commit felonies and then enrich yourself.

Go NASCAR
I'd like to second this writers commentary on NASCAR. Although I don't understand why it would be "corney or redneckish" to display your patriotism. The left has really done a number on this country when a man or woman feels the have to be embarrassed by their respect and love of their country.

Yahoo! Sports - NASCAR - Trading Paint: Jumping on Junior: "I watched the race this weekend on TV as I usually do. Every weekend no matter if it is a holiday or not, they televise the invocation, National Anthem and any other special honors, such as they did with Taps this weekend for Memorial Day. Is there any special reason that NASCAR does this and not any of the other televised sports? Being prior military and married to an active duty serviceman, honestly, it is one of the reasons I am such a big fan of NASCAR and as happy to watch it on TV as watching it live. I think it's awesome that NASCAR supports the troops as visually as they do. I'm just wondering if there was any special reason other than their love of this country.

I have to give credit to NASCAR for the things you mention, Rebecca. It helps give fans some patriotic spirit. Plus, with NASCAR's heavy involvement with the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard as sponsors and the fact so many of our enlisted men and women also are NASCAR fans it's a no-brainer to show support to those who are protecting our liberties. The NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA and NHL even the PGA could take a few lessons from NASCAR's patriotism. It may seem kind of corny or redneck-ish, but I'll take that any day. "

Hooray! for France? Did I say that?
Dutch Voters Reject EU Constitution - Yahoo! News: "AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Dutch voters overwhelmingly rejected the European Union constitution Wednesday, delivering what could be a knockout blow for the charter roundly defeated just days ago by France. "
You rarely see me say anything positive about France. Their recent history has been pretty shady in my opinion. Americans are always quick to point out that, "they'd be speaking German if it wasn't for us." But we seem to forget that we may very well still be an English colony without the help of France. I do have to tip my hat to the French and Dutch for their rejection of this EU constitution. I think it bodes well for the US down the road as well.
Just as soon as an EU constitution is ratified the UN will be after a worldwide version of the same. In the US that would mean subjugating our constitutional principles to that of the rest of the world. I just don’t see how that can help us out in any way. The rest of the world needs to stay out of the business of governing the US.
Recently a Supreme Court justice referenced world opinion in one of his rulings. That sent a chill up my spine. Imagine what would happen to the Bill of Rights if it had to be interpreted in light of world opinion. Sovereign countries need to govern themselves. The rest of the world kind of needs to stay out of it.
Good job France! Good job Netherlands!
